Elder Miller/Justin had a good week, mostly. He was sick again, this time with some kind of stomach bug.  He was able to contact the mission nurse for advice. He got some rest and is feeling better! I snatched this screenshot from our brief video chat, he had to call on the phone again because he was unable to hear.  Next week, I'm going to wear his headphones he left here, they have a built-in microphone to see if that helps. An excerpt from his email... We got picked up this morning to go do some service at another church (I think it was catholic) we helped move all the stuff out of a big room so that it could be cleaned.  They weren't completely ready for us so we didn't get to do to much, but we had a good time. He found out that the missionary he was with for an exchange this week was born in Ecuador and moved to the U.S. as a child and has gone back to visit.  Justin was able to ask him questions and find out what it's going to be like in Ecuador! He ...

Today was very exciting, we had a very brief video chat and then a phone call.  The video and volume was great on our end but it was very hard for him to hear so we had a phone call.  It was so nice to be able to talk about his mission and catch up on the little things! Picture of him, his companion (Elder Asay), a young lady that was baptized and a former missionary. He continues to work on his Spanish and he is seeing improvement although he feels he still has so much to learn! He and his companion get a ride from other missionaries on p-day to do grocery shopping, I imagine it would be pretty difficult to bring home the groceries on a bike! He has experienced many acts of kindness from people there,  a couple that had to cancel dinner with them gave them money to go out to eat.  A lady they call "Grandma" is always helping including going to the store for tubes for the bike that had a flat! An excerpt from his email about his first bike accident on th...

At the Cardinal's Stadium to hear President Nelson   Outside the Cardinal's Stadium President and Sister Nelson Some pictures from Mesa as he has traveled around A faint rainbow  Scripture cover that was made for him by Hermana Gonzalez, so nice!   Answering your many questions lol! ( I asked more, just didn't add all of them) -Our apartment is pretty nice, it has everything we need. -It is just me and my companion in our apartment. -We live in a small apartment complex kinda, so there is a community washer and dryer, and our landlord gives us quarters to pay for the laundry and washer. He's had a cold so he wasn't feeling that great, but he's feeling better now.  They did lots of visiting, lots of bike riding, ate good food, had a baptism on Saturday, and on Sunday went to the devotional.  He had a good week!

He arrived in Mesa, Arizona, on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, here is an excerpt of what he said happened that day..... We had a good flight, we grabbed our stuff and unloaded, when we went to baggage, our Mission President was there to meet us! He was really nice and walked with our travel groups to baggage claim, we got our stuff and talked with the mission President while we were grabbing our luggage. We then walked out of the airport to load our luggage on a trailer. Then we loaded up and headed to Mesa, Mesa is not far at all from Phoenix! On the way to the church we stopped at a Mesa mural and took pictures! I think they sent all of you pictures, it is also probably on Facebook. After pictures we headed to a church to sign in and fill out some paperwork, they gave us Visa waiters loaner phones (for free) and pillows and blankets. We then had some really good pizza for dinner, then our new companions came there and we got assigned our companions! It was so exciting! My ...
