Justin's Ecuador Quito North Mission

Elder Miller called for 10 minutes today from Ecuador.  The mission was able to add international calling to their phones.  His mission is still on "lock-down" in their apartments and will be until approximately April 5th when Ecuador is planning to open their borders, they began lock-down March 16th. Right now Ecuador isn't allowing any international flights.  He along with all other foreign missionaries in Ecuador and many places around the world will be sent to their home countries and reassigned to a mission in their country of origin depending on a few things like how much time they have left etc.  Things are changing quickly due to the coronavirus so this may change.  When he arrives home, he will need to quarantine for 14 days due to CDC guidelines because he was out of the country.  He is healthy and has supplies.  We didn't get to ask many questions because of the 10 minute time allowance but he plans to call again next p-day! We received an unexpected message from Elder Miller today, their p-day was switched and they are being quarantined for at least 14 days.  He and his new companion, Elder Bercaria are fine.  They have extra food and things to see them through. 

Elder Miller with Elder Noriega.   Elder Miller is being transferred today!  He's going to Guayllabamba, here's a link about the area  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guayllabamba .  He says it's near where the zoo is that he has visited twice.  It is still in the Calderon Zone.  He will now be a district leader, training a brand new missionary, and "opening a sector."  So exciting!!! The phone for his new area!

The last p-day before transfers!  Today they are going to lunch with the Bishop, bowling, going to the mall, and celebrating Elder Noriega's birthday!
