A couple screenshots I took while we were video chatting today.  He had a good week as usual.   Last p-day he watched a movie at church with the other missionaries in his district. Some fun things he mentioned today....  the neighbor has a parrot that says hello and occasionally whistles when they walk by! :) the coins he gets there are attracted to magnets?! :) the new mission president arrives this week! transfers are coming up! Not sure if he will be staying or going to a new area or getting a new companion! tomorrow they will have another missionary with them at least for the day! they have lemon trees there!  The ones he saw look big and green?  I looked them up and apparently there are different varieties!   https://www.life-in-ecuador.com/food-from-ecuador.html

We had a great video chat today!  He is still doing well, he told me about some things he has done recently. Last Monday, he visited Atacames with a group from his zone.  They played beach volleyball and had so much fun.  It was a 3 hour bus ride each way!  Here is a link I found about the area  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atacames This past Wednesday, was the last zone conference with the Murphy's.  The new mission president arrives June 28th.  At this conference he got a letter from the Arizona Mesa Mission, it contained a letter that had been sent from someone at church!  Not sure how long ago it was mailed:)  On Saturday, the Quininde Ward cleaned and painted la Brasilia Park in Quininde! Elder Miller plans on traveling to Guayacana, Esmaraldas.  It has native people there called Chachi, the main language spoken is Chapala.  I found this site that explained some about the area and people  https://flacso.edu.ec/len...

He hasn't had a lot of time on p-day to communicate, two weeks ago they traveled to Esmaraldas to play paintball!  That was pretty fun! He saw a weird looking snake, it was black on top and had a yellow belly.  he didn't get close, it could be poisonous.  He also saw an iguana run across the road in front of him, he was pretty surprised because he didn't know they live there. They have been doing a lot of things to help people, they had an activity in a park to help people learn about family history.  They handed out pamphlets etc.  It sounded really neat when he was telling me about it.  They had someone draw a tree and then as people came they had them put paint on their thumb and each person made the leaf with their thumb print. He had a great week, he has a new companion, it sounds like he really likes him!  They were going to play soccer today and clean their apartment:)
